mmm . . . Serenity

Yeah. My brain's just about gone, and I'm kind of drifting through these days in a sort of mindless cloud of stupidity, which feels kinda nice, but it's very jarring when I actually have to think. Eww. Projects and papers and finals and all are looming on the horizon, and beyond that, my desperate summer of work before DragonCon and the return to Hartwick to get back in to the grind of classes and all.

Does anybody else ever wonder why we do all this? Why do we study all this stuff in college? So that we can go on and get a job, so that we can subsist for the rest of our lives so that we can die comfortably and be as small a financial burden as possible on our families who are also working to susbsist until they die.

Sorry, I'm feeling a bit melancholy.

On the up side, Serenity is coming out in September. That's all I've really got right now. But I think I may just be melodramatic. It'll probably pass. Maybe if I take a nap.

Either way, feeling flighty and apathetic for the most part. Mostly I just wanna sleep.

Right, anyway. Moving on.
