Okay, for the record and EVERY MORON WHO IMPLICITLY TRUSTS LIMEWIRE LABELS ON SONGS, the Goo Goo Dolls never ever covered "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. They certainly did not do the original, because the only person to EVER officially record "I'll Be" was Edwin McCain. He recorded several different versions, although none of them included Johnny Resnik or any of the other Goo Goo Dolls.
I really love reading all the comments that say, "Oh yeah, Edwin McCain did this song but the Goo Goo Dolls did it better." How much of a FUCKWIT do you have to be to say that? EVERY RECORDING is Edwin McCain. And Edwin and Johnny sound pretty much NOTHING alike. It's like fucking mistaking Roy Orbison for Mick Jagger. And yes, they both have masculine voices because (guess what) they are both men. However, if you are retarded enough to listen to two versions of the song and think that one is the Goo Goo Dolls and one is Edwin McCain, then you should be banned from society. Don't get me wrong, I like both Edwin and the Goo Goo Dolls, but the GGD did not do this song, and no number of moronic comments or fan posted lyrics will change that.
